Acclaimed film director known for thoughtful, character-driven storytelling and hands-on production in the Pacific Northwest. Gary's written, directed and edited six original features including CALVIN MARSHALL, PHOENIX OREGON, and the forthcoming ensemble PELICAN (2026), an art film that explores mid-life relationships and mental health in the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast. Gary has played a creative role on dozens of film projects, including the cinematography and editing on the hilarious Duplass Brothers series THE LONG LONG NIGHT. (Tribeca/SXSW). He is also the editor of the award-winning feature documentaries WHEN GIANTS FALL, EARTH SEASONED and DEAF SANTA CLAUS. Gary is the Co-Founder of Joma Films, which offers production and post-production services to indie filmmakers as well as distribution resources. "I love art that helps our souls grow.
